Osinbajo’s sudden quietness

IN the about seven weeks President Muhammadu Buhari was out of the country, his deputy, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was all about the country reaching out here and there. Journalists in the Presidential Villa were also constrained as they saw an unprecedented spate of activities in the Presidential Villa with Osinbajo engaged in meetings now and then.

However, since surrendering power to the owner, Osinbajo has calmed down, making only one trip out of Abuja since. His second trip was last Wednesday to France for a meeting of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD’s Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum.

Given the president’s age and health, not many Nigerians would mind seeing more of the vice-president firing the administration’s agenda.
