The third graduation and empowerment program of Hon. Ajibola Famurewa , member representing Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Ilesa East and Ilesa West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, took place on Friday 16\11\18 At the Obokungbusi City Hall, Ilesa.
In the last seven years years, Hon. Famurewa has empowered more than 1200 young men and women who have been trained by experienced professional on their field of endeavour.
This empowerment program also coincided with the presentation of the profile of achievements of the distinguished honourable member in the past seven years. "In the last seven years and half years, I have approached the challenging of supply of electricity with the deepest concern and strongest passion to enhance life by providing and installing not less than 56 transformers in various communities such as Igbaye, Ogudu, Irojo,cOsu, Arimoro, Ido-Ijesa, Ajibade, Olorunsogo Ijesa, among others. I also embarked on the provision of solar street light atnOke-Opo street, Fadahunsi Avenue and some other major streets within Ilesa East and West.
" Reduction of water borne diseases and development of safe water is one of my cardinal public health goals....I have enhanced and sustained healthy living in more than 52 communities by providing portable water through modern bore holes. Some of these bore holes are situated at Okutu-Ope,Ilerin, Odo-Iro, Osogbo Garage and so on.
"In the area of education, I am honored to say that I have made my impact felt in so many forms. It is to the credit of the Almighty God, through me thatna modern middle school was constructed at the Hope Middle School andcSt. John Middle School, Iloro. I have also achieved so much in the renovation of several blocks of class rooms at OSU, Ifewara, Faforiji, Ayinrin, Ajido, Olowu, Iwara and so on. Apart from providing free remidial classes for secondary school students in Ilesa East and West, I am glad to announce to this gathering that I have organized Mathematics and English competitions among senior secondary school students to prepare them for their senior secondary school exams. Only a few days ago, various educational materials and teaching aids and laboratory equipments were distributed to more than 30 schools in this Federal Constituency.
" A lot of our party members have benefitted from our various legacies of good representation through the distribution of motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, television, deep freezers, coolers, generators and so on.
"I am glad to inform this gathering and general public that the decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to upgrade Wesley Guild Hospital to a Federal Medical Center FMC has reached the final stage and very soon the dream shall come true"
Hon. Ajibola Famurewa also used the opportunity to thank the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for giving him the opportunity to climb up to the Red Chamber in the next dispensation. He reaffirmed his commitment and loyalty to the party. He promised to offer great services and ensure that the party remains the most paramount in his mind at all times.
