27th IRAGBIJI DAY CELEBRATION PHOTONEWS: Oyetola Urges Osun Residents to Pay Tax

The Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdul-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, was  the chief host at the 27th Iragbiji Day Celebration that took place at Oke Iragbiji High School play field on Saturday the 8th December, 2018.

This 27th Iragbiji Day Celebration is the first since their own "son of the soil" Gboyega Oyetola received baton from Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the first indigene of Iragbiji to become governor hence the Iragbiji city was very much alive as indigenes and other residents erupted into jubilation. Beautifully dressed men, women and children were seen in all sorts of uniforms under a big well decorated and ventilated white canopy.

In his bid to lift the socioeconomic standard of Iragbiji and place it enviably, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land has initiated the Iragbiji Economic Summit with which he brings home on a common vanguard the sons and daughters of Iragbiji to chart courses on how to advance the town to a level of appreciable hub of green technology and economic independence. The summit was also a unification and familiarization programme due to its capacity to bring together people of Iragbiji at home and in the Diaspora to a common confluence or developmental congregation.

The highpoint of this year's Iragbiji Day Celebration was the donations from invited guests, individuals, clubs, societies, associations, companies and notable Iragbiji community compounds for the construction of the proposed 4000 capacity multi-million naira Aragbiji Civic Centre in Iragbiji.

Speaking at the ceremony, the State of Osun governor, His Excellency, Gboyega Oyetola, appreciated all invited guests and Iragbiji residents that graced the occasion as he urged all Iragbiji residents to promptly contribute their quotas to the state's development by paying government taxes and levies. He also advised parents and wards to take adequate care of their children.
