SAD NEWS: Oyo lawmaker, Temitope Olatoye shot, feared dead

A serving lawmaker representing Akinyele/ Lagelu federal constituency, Hon. Temitope Olatoye has been shot by some suspected political thugs.

Olatoye who lost the National Assembly election bid to return to the Senate two weeks ago had voted at his Alape village in Ward 13 Lagelu local government area before he was shot.

Olatoye, sometimes referred to as Sugar’ was shot said to have been shot in Elesu village, Lalupon, Lagelu local government area of the state.

Although the lawmaker was immediately rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, he was said to have died soon after.

Olatoye had last year dumped the ruling APC and joined the Action Democratic Party (ADP) where he ran in the election held on Saturday 23rd February. He later lost to Senator Teslim Folarin of APC.
