None of the communities of Osun State shares border with other country but on Wednesday May 1, 2019, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives powered a programme sponsored by the BCDA in conjunction with ADETECH MULTI-BIZ SERVICES as part of activities to celebrate the expiration of his tenure in office. At the program youth and women drawn from Ilesa East and West, Atakumosa East and West Local Governments of Osun State gathered at his B68, Akure Road, Imo Street, Ilesa to receive training and receive nonrefundable take off grant.
At the training session, Dr. Samuel Ademola the representative of Adetech Services delved into how to access loans and grants on government sponsored programmes that are aimed at equipping young people with the requisite skills and knowledge to be self-employed by starting and managing their own businesses. He drew examples on Bank of Agriculture
that collaborates with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Ministry of Finance to generate best options for grants and loans.
He also talked on the advantages of joining Cooperative Societies where they have the ability to gain support and beneficial grants.
"The support by the Federal Government is very important especially when it comes to economic instability. You can also find other grants not necessarily given by the Federal Government to start up your business", Dr Ademola said as he highlighted the criteria for accessing the fund.
Other speakers at the training that shared their experiences with the trainees were Leader Kunle Akanni Odeyemi, Elder Adebiyi Adelowo and Hon. Kunle Ayantoye.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa seized the opportunity to appreciate God for the safety of all his supporters at the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections where he contested for the seat in the Senate to represent Osun East District. He also implored participants to make good use of the training and take off grants received.
