What Timothy Owoeye Said and Did When He Celebrated his 47th Birthday Will Make You Love Him More






To mark his birthday for 2019 the State of Osun House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye visited three Motherless and Orphanage Homes in Osogbo and some less privileged patients of Ilesa Wesley Guild Hospital who could not pay their hospital bills.

Saturday 24th August, 2019, the Speaker of Osun 7th House of Assembly, put smile on the faces of  motherless children when he presented various gift items and cash to them at FOMWAN Orphanage and the Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Hospital's Motherless home and FEMEK Motherless and Orphanage Home, Oke-Baale, all in Osogbo, the State Capital.




Owoeye, was accompanied by the legislator representing Ede South Constituency, Hon. Akanfe, the Permanent Secretary and the Clerk of the House, Mr. Amusan, the Director of Media and Publicity of OSHA, Mr. Laide Lawal and some of his political associates.

The birthday celebration which started wiith the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) Motherless anf Orphanage home which is an umbrella association for all of the Muslim women’s associations has its headquarters in Abuja and it is pesent in all the states of the federation and in all the local governments of the federation.

Alhaja Kudirat Oladunmoye, the Osun Amirah of FOMWAN Orphanage, Osogbo, thanked the speaker for remembering the orphans while she noted that some individuals celebrated their birthday lavishing money without remembering the motherless or orphans and the less-privileged.




Similarly, at the Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Hospital, Jaleyemi, Osogbo, Rev. Sister Mary Elizabeth Akinlotan,  received Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye to the Orphanage and she expressed her sincere gratitude to him for providing for the needs of the less privileged in his characteristics manner while she also led the motherless babies to sing the happy birthday song.




The Osun OSHA Speaker later proceeded to FEMEK Motherless and Orphanage Home located at Obokun road, opposite Osun State University junction, Sasa area, Oke-Baale, Osogbo.

Highlights of the programme was the presentation of food items, beverages, baby care products, toiletries and cash to the management of the homes.

At the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesha, Rt. Hon. Owoeye joined by some All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders from Ilesa East that included Chief Idowu Korede, Hon. Idowu Falade, Hon. Akeem Olowoopejobori, Mr. Akinyele Akintola and others where he donated chairs to the management and visited the wards to pay medical bills of some of the patients who could not afford to pay their medical bills. Some were already discharged but were not allowed to leave the hospital premises to rejoin with their family.

Speaking to the press after the visit, Rt. Hon. Owoeye said. “I am here to give thanks to God and to appreciate Him for my to position , His protection and mercy.

” I am here to give God thanks for the rear privileges, for His mercy, protection favour and the honour He has shown to me.

“I have never celebrated my birthday like this but I am using this to thank God for what He has done in my life.

"It has been my dream and wish to become the OSHA Speaker one day and it has come to reality.

" What I am appreciating is how God made it to happen when all hopes were lost.

“I went through challenges that made it looked like all hope was lost but God swung into action. God made what people thought was impossible possible.”

"When some thought that I was pushed to the point that I should commit suicide then God showed Himself up to prove that His ways are not compatible with the ways of men.

" I am happy because the favour that I enjoyed from God and men is uncommon. God has used my case to show that He will do what He will do whatever the antics of men".
