See How Ilesa West Central LCDA Vice-chairman Addresses the Urgent Needs of Her People

Hon. Mrs. Helen Agbeluyi is the Vice-chairman of Ilesa West Central LCDA where Hon. Folarin Fafowora is the Executive Chairmen. There are four (4) Units in Ward 1 of Ilesa West that she represents at the Council's Parliament.

She asked her community members what they see as the most important needs. The results then guided her action that led to the commissioning of roads linking culvert at Ogbon tuntun Egbeidi Unit and the renovation of Orinkiran Community Hall on Thursday 19th September, 2019.

According to her, these are the needs that are rated most important by her assessment. At the Egbeidi Unit the culvert linking Ogbon tuntun to the old Iwere, now known as Oke-Ola was washed away about 20 years agi and it has been brought to the attention of authorities at various levels by requests and complaints but to no avail.

Also, the Orinkiran Community has laboured for seven years to put a community hall in place using self help and direct labour but they were yet to secure a ceiling for the building that they erected. The mini-hall serves as a meeting place for the community's Landlords and Tenants Association, ward collating centre during elections, children's vaccination centre etc. Hon. Agbeluyi, therefore embarked on ceiling the edifice with asbestos as demanded by the community.

The commissioning of the Egbeidi culvert and the handing over of the renovated Orinkiran Community Hall was witnessed by Hon. Wale Adedoyin, the representative of Ilesa West State Constituency at the State of Osun House of Assembly who seized the occasion to remind the communities of the quarterly meetings he promised during his electioneering campaign, noting that the first edition comes up in October 2019.

Also in attendance were Hon. Folarin Fafowora, the Chairman, Ilesa West Central LCDA, Hon. Mrs. Jumoke Olaosebikan (Leader of the House), Hon. Gboyega Ajeleti, Hon. Philip Ademola aka Padma, community chiefs and leaders, LCDA Parliamentarians and well-wishers.
