Welcome to the final day of our live coverage of the screening of the 8 Commissioners/Special Advisers-designate slated for today.
The screening that started on Monday 30/9/19 is holding at the Chamber of the State of Osun House of Assembly at Osogbo.
The State governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola had earlier sent the names of 35 nominees on Tuesday 24th September 2019.
The Osun House Of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has fixed the following dates and nominees for the screening.
Monday 30th September, Wednesday 2nd,Friday 4th and Monday 7th of October, 2019.
Ahead of the screening and possible confirmation of the Osun commissioner and special adviser nominees, the State of Osun House of Assembly has come out with names of 8 persons that are expected to appear before it today 7/10/19.
The nominees are:
1. Kareem Akande
2. Oyegbile Rufus
3. Olaboopo Olubukola
4. Kolajo Aderemi
5. Babalola Idiat
6. Lawal Tajudeen
7. Muminu Adekunle
8. Olaonipekun Henry.
The screening exercise is slated to commence by 10:00am.

Babalola Idiat from Ede South is a former member of 4th Osun House of Assembly 2003-2007. Special Adviser under Rauf Aregbesola's first term and featured as commissioner for Federal Matters under his second term. Presently, the Supervisor on Federal Matters.

Mr. Rufus Adeyemo from Erin-Osun, Irepodun LG, Member of House of Representatives 1992-1993, Irepodun LG Party Chairman.
Before allowing him to take the traditional bow and go, the Speaker thanked him for his relentless contributions to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and advised him to think of other things that can foster unity in the party.

Engr. Mumini Adekunle from Iwo. He was born into the progressive family and has been supporting the party. He is also a great grassroots mobilizer.

Olaboopo Olubukola l, a lawyer from Iragbiji a strong member of the Ileri-Oluwa Campaign Organization, a women mobilizer. She was part of the team that made the legal tussle that followed the Osun 2018 Governorship Election.

Alhaji Tajudeen Olaniyi Lawal a prince from Ile-Ife who has just been elected as Soon by his ruling house. He was the Chairman of Ife East LG, 2011-2016. He was presented as a great progressive party mobilizer in Ile-Ife.
The Speaker of the House advised him to work on how to create a good relationship between the Ife and Ijesa people and most importantly, within Ife land. To see his place in the executive cabinet ad an opportunity to work for the unity of the party.

Kolajo Claudius Aderemi from Ifetedo in Ife South LG. He is a Financial Accountant, entrepreneur and owner of a functional food processing Industry. He was also a Special Adviser in the past regime of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Akande Kareem Ismael from Modakeke in Ife East Central LCDA. He was described as a strong member of APC in Modakeke that did a lot of mobilisation at the last election. He was born in 1974 and specialises on Public Administration.

Dr. Olanipekun Henry Olabode, a constant on Management with a PHD in Business Administration. He is from Igbajo in Ila Federal Constituency.
Thus the screening of all the 35 commissioner/Special Adviser designates were completed at about 2:05pm.
