The remains of late Chief Mrs. Florence Mopelola Ayeni, mother of the Member of House of Representatives, Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni that represents Ijesa South Federal Constituency, was finally laid to rest at her residence in Osu the headquarter of Atakunmosa West Local Government, on Saturday, 19th of October, 2019 after a religious burial service conducted by Ilesa District Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ.

We followed the burial programme which started on Thursday 17th of October, 2019.

Hon. L. B. Ayeni described his mother in a tribute titled "Iya Ni Iya Mi" in the following words.

"Sweet mother, my first love, my teacher, my guide and my world.
"Mama, you did not build any mansion but you built my humble self and my siblings. Mama, you trained us to remain focused, and trust in God always in the face of challenges of life.

"Mama, you taught us the way of the Lord almighty. You taught us to love God, to love our neighbours and be generous to everyone. Mama, I fondly remember your fighting spirit when the going was rough and though, when we had to hawk pounded yam in the streets of Ilesa to survive starvation.

"I have with me the memories of your motherly care, discipline and love.

"Your exit hit me too hard, but I know that you are resting in peace.
"You will always be in my heart and spirit as I carry carry you within me everywhere I go.
"I love you so much and I surely do miss you.
"I look forward to the day when I can see your face again.
"I know that you are in God's care.

"Adieu Mama"
