Mrs. Bose Dawodu a retired Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Operation Zone XI Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria, and a leading member of Osun All Progressives Congress (APC), Ilesa West, and also the Founder and General Coordinator of the Esteemed Ladies Forum has been conferred with Honourary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Honoris Causa in Social work and Women Enterprenurial Development by the British American University, Florida, USA on Saturday, 28th December, 2019.
Rtd DCP Bosede Dawodu was decorated alongside seventeen other Awardees both Nigerians and Foreigners who were chosen based on their exemplary performance in different fields.
Some of the awardees are; Dr. Mitar Lutovac, Dr. Friday Kayode Owolabi, Dr. Riyas Suleiman Lebbe, Dr. Dare Owotomobi and Dr. Abayomi Gbenga Ojekunle and Dr. Balarabe Mohammed.
Present at the ceremony held in Abeokuta, Ogun State were Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Muhammad Omolaja ,vPro-chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kuyong and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ken Rabak, the University Librarian, Prof. Gajo Milan Vanka and the Registrar, Dr. Ramona Birau.
Others include; Prof. Peter Ekong of the Africa Campus and Prof. Bamidele Hanasi who represented Deputy President and members of University Council.
Felicitating with the awardees, Prof. Dr. Manon Kumar Mishra, who is the Director, Centre for International Development of the University wrote that he felt very happy to greet and congratulate all the doctorate awardees. He also congratulated the dynamic Chancellor Professor Muhammad Omolaja for decorating all the great leaders, academicians, researchers, social workers at the platform of great BAU who have immense contributions for academic, regional, national and international development.
