Omowaiye Defends N8.6b Budget Estimate






 The State of Osun House of Assembly has implored the Ministry of Works and Transport to fix most of the dilapidated critical infrastructure especially deplorable roads across the state for the overall well being on the people.

 This is coming from the ongoing defense of the State of Osun 2020 budget of Ministries and MDA's  before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation headed by Hon. Taiwo Adebayo-Olodo.

Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye led the appearance of the Osun Ministry of Works and Transport on Tuesday 10th December, 2019 for the consideration of the Ministry's estimates for the coming fiscal year.



 Correspondence Tope Alabi of the NTA reported this as the budget defense intensifies in the chamber of OSHA:

"More MDA's appeared before the joint committees of the House.This time it is the Ministry of Works and Transport led by the commissioner, @⁨Remi Omowaiye⁩  and the SA, Olatoke olaniyan to defend it's #8.6B estimates. Office of Transportation and Osun road Maintenance agency ORMA also presented their budget for the coming fiscal year."

Issues and challenges that caught the critical attention of the lawmakers include the deplorable state of many intra and inter state roads which has grossly affected socio-economic activities of the people.

Some of the roads highlighted included,  Osogbo - Ilesa,  Ifo-illie,  Osogbo - Iwo,  Ilesha - Iperindo-Ipetu-ijesha, Ipetu-ile Oluyi as well as roads along Edun Abon and Ife axis among others.

Other MDA's that were considered include office of Governor Bureau of Public Service Pension while estimates of Ministry of Water Resources and Energy as well as Rural Development and Community Affairs and RUWESA  were also considered Osun CSDP and O-RAMP estimates also came under scrutiny by the lawmakers.
