"If the relationship of father to son could be reduced to biology, the whole earth would blaze with the glory of fathers and sons."- James Baldwin
May 5, 2020, Dayo Adewole was in Ilesa to mark his dad's 66th birthday in a special way by distributing palliatives to people who gathered in their hundreds outside the Iroye Street, Ilesa, Adewole's family house where Prof. Isaac Adewole grew up as a boy.
Although the targeted beneficiaries were vulnerable aged men and women of Iroye Ward 7 and Abiola Avenue Ward 6 quarters, many youths, able-bodied men and women came out to form a long queue.
Dayo Adewole shared many relief packages at home adhering to the popular saying that well ordered charity begins at home.
Speaking to our correspondent, the young Osun commisioner said that the food items are to cushion the effect of the coronavirus lockdown as his support to the efforts for H.E. Gboyega Oyetola's led administration.
It will be noted that, at the onset of the Stay-at-Home order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in State of Osun, Dayo was one of the first to donate and distributes palliative such as tubers of yam, rice, beans and crates of eggs.
Many of the beneficiaries could not hide their surprise at the quantity of the packed food items while expressing their appreciations and best wishes for the celebrant and his son.
