The Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has urged Muslim faithful to continue with lessons learnt during Ramadan by being their brothers keeper.
Owoeye while congratulating Muslims on a successful Ramadan period, charged Nigerians to remain steadfast in the face of the daunting economic challenge ocassioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Speaker in his Eid el Fitr message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kunle Alabi admonished that people should come together to forge a harmonious relationship to fight the community transmission of coronavirus.
He held that, containing the community spread of the virus will allow for people to get back fully to their work and businesses, saying the country when having flatten the curve of virus will not need to restrict people's movement thus allowing for the economy to be back on its feet.
The Speaker stressed that the spirit of giving that pervaded the season of Ramadan should continue, noting that the situation the pandemic has brought requires that we should look after the needy.
He opined that the spirit of giving and supporting one another should not be limited to the fasting period but that which must continue for us to have a better society.
