Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, who was newly appointed Executive Chairman of the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and other members of the board have assumed office on Tuesday 23rd June 2020.
A prayer session was organized at the Conference Hall of the Gbongan road office in Osogbo and the Chairman, Ajibola Famurewa and Moshood Adekunle Oluawo, Commissioner, Technical, Amos Akindiya, Commissioner, Services; Ayo Olajolo, member representing Osun East Senatorial District, and Rafiu Olaide Fatoki, member representing Osun West Senatorial District were all in attendance. They were later ushered in to their various offices by the SUBEB staff.
Thereafter, the new Osun SUBEB boss led other members on a visit to the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun's residence. The meeting with the party Chairman was attended by some members of Ileri-Oluwa Apex, Council Chairmen and some party leaders.

Talking at the meeting, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa pledged his total support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the APC leadership under Party Chairman, Prince Adegboyega Famodun as he appreciated the confidence reposed in them.

Prince Famodun advised the members to see their appointment as a big responsibility as the core ingredient behind their selection is trust. He urged them to put their best to discharge their new assignment. He also seized the occassion to appeal to party members to be careful and be mindful of what they do and say at this time so as not to seell the party cheap to the opposition.
