The State Government of Osun under Governor Gboyega Oyetola has put in motion the process of constructing a mordern Atakumosa market in Ilesa.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly stated this on Thursday 11th June, 2020, while leading a team of the State's Ministry of Works and Transport and representatives of Osun Community and Social Development Program (CSDP) on a supervision of the area where the construction of the first two hundred lockup shops will be erected.
According to Owoeye, the World Bank and the government of the State of Osun are collaborating on the reconstruction and the administration of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola is determined to complete the project in no distant time as the funds have been made available and the project shall be in phases.
The occasion was witnessed by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, Chairman, Ilesa West Central LCDA, Hon. Folarin Fafowora, the Executive of the Atakumosa market management among other government officials and dignitaries
