The State Government of Osun has commiserated with the family of Late Hon. Owonikoko Quadiri Ademola, and with the entire people of Olorunda North Local Council Development Area of the State.

A statement signed by the state's Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, described Hon. Owonikoko as a public servant who gave a good account of himself as Chairman of Olorunda North LCDA  from 2017 till he took his last breath.

The statement read in part: " Hon Owonikoko was a devoted  politician who was committed to the service of his people. For instance, it is on record that in 2018, barely two weeks after he received the report that Kobongbogboe and Agbeloba communities had been in darkness for several months, Hon. Owonikoko purchased a 500kva transformer to light up the affected communities and environs.

"It is also on record that he furnished the Olorunda North Secretariat, sank not less than eight (8) boreholes across wards, facilitated the renovation of police station and provision of security patrol vehicles for Oba-Oke community", the statement  added, citing some of the achievements of the deceased.

The Governor  is deeply saddened by the loss of this committed party man who had a reputation for community development and people-oriented programmes at the grassroots level.

"The State Government appreciates all the  deceased accomplished in his lifetime and will continue to cherish how he conducted himself as an Omoluabi of enviable degree. His labour, devotion and loyalty to the transformation agenda of the State Government will forever be remembered.

We pray that God grants us all the fortitude to bear this loss, especially the family he left behind , the constituents of Olorunda North LCDA and indeed  the entire people of the state. "
