In line with government's commitment to distributing resources of the State equitably, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has approved the reconstruction of Itaasin (St. Stephen Church)-Our lady School-Famia Road, Modakeke.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Works and Transport in the State, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, on Friday.

The road, it was gathered, was last touched in 2003.

According to the Commissioner, the governor's gesture is a further confirmation that every part of the State of Osun would benefit from the massive infrastructure renewal programme of the Administration.

"We may not be too buoyant, but  we are setting our priorities right. All the roads we have embarked on so far, including the ones we had completed and delivered, were products of Mr. Governor's engagement with the people, wherein they said in clear terms what they wanted.

"The approval for the reconstruction of the Famia, Modakeke road validates our commitment to ensuring that every part of the State benefits from the Administration," Omowaiye added.
