The remains of the first Executive Secretary of Ilesa North East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Alfred Babatunde Fagbemi a.k.a. Fagbe were laid to rest in Ilesa on Tuesday 14th July, 2020 at an interment ceremony attended by his wife, children, immediate and extended family members, some selected All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and close associates in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines related to burial.
The burial was preceded by a burial service and service of songs at the Fagbemi family house at K.111 Anaye Street Ilesa. The service was directed by clergymen from Christ Apostolic Church, WOSEM, Revival Centre, Oke-Agbara, Stadium, Ilesa.

A pastor testified that Late Tunde Fagbemi gave his life to Christ before his death as he extolled his quality and exemplary life.
His first born, Kehinde described her father as very caring and loving while Mrs. Olusola Adeoye a.k.a California who also served as Executive Secretary of Ilesa East Local Government at the same time the deceased was serving at Ilesa North East LCDA submitted that his life has positively influenced the society as she lauded his simple and friendly attributes.

The late Fagbe who died at the age of 62 started his primary school education at Methodist Primary School Oshodi Lagos, 1964-1968, before completing it at St John's School B, Iloro Ilesa, he had his Secondary School at Ilesa Grammar school, 1974-79, he attended Divisional Teachers Training College 1979-80, The Polytechnic Ibadan 1984-86:, where he bagged his OND, He worked in the then Oyo State Water Corporation, taught in various schools, he later resigned.
The late Fagbemi, was elected councilor, then ward 13, Ilesa local government council 1988-89, Assistant Secretary of SDP at the local level 1991-93, elected vice Chairman UNCP of Ilesa Local Government 1997-99' board member Osun State Sports Council, 2001-2003, Executive Secretary at the Ilesa North East LCDA, and before his death, a parliamentarian of Ilesa North East LCDA.
