The Federal Government and representatives of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) early this morning reach at about 2:53am, reached an agreement.
The highlight of the agreement is that the deregulation is to stay as the government has agreed to roll out palliatives for labour force details of which will come out in two weeks time. The increase in the electricity tariffs has also been suspended by the for two weeks.
A joint Committee headed by Mr. Festus Keyamo is to examine the justification for the new policy.
The labour unions, NLC and TUC, had scheduled September 28 for a nationwide rally to protest increases in the prices of petrol and electricity.
