Activist and former presidential candidate, Mr. Omoyele Sowore has accused the aides of the governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola of shooting at #ENDSARS protesters in Osogbo.
Using his Twitter handle, Sowore claimed that a third person, one Alimi Ahmed Olamilekan, shot by agents of Osun state governor has died.
One would recall that Mr. Ismael Omipidan. the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Gboyega Oyetola has debunked the rumor of alleged deaths saying that none of Gov's aides fired a bullet.
"Alleged deaths in Osun happened in circumstances that are not in anyway linked to the governor's visit to the protest ground.
"First death happened in a motorcycle accident prior to the arrival of the Governor at the protest ground. His arrival was 2:35pm.
"The LAUTECH hospital confirmed receiving the victim who eventually died at 12:30pm-@hrs earlier.
"The second death claim occurred at Oke-Ayepe which is several kilometers away from the protest ground and not on the route to the Government house.
"This happened at 3:45pm over 30 mins after the Governor has evacuated from the violence-ridden protest ground and settled in the Government House." Omipidan explained.
