Wale Adedoyin Sets to appreciate constituents in commemoration of 50th birthday; Read the list of intriguing items he's donating under his IleriOluwa Support Program






In a manner typical of one who is committed to the service of humanity, the lawmaker representing Ilesa West State Constituency in the State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Adedoyin popularly known as Eyiyato, is set to empower several indigenes and residents of Ilesa West Local Government and Ilesa West Central LCDA in cash and in kind. This was made known in a recent interview with the lawmaker.


Hon. Wale Adedoyin popularly known as Eyiyato, is set to celebrate his 50th birthday ceremony by appreciating several indigenes and residents of Ilesa West Local Government and Ilesa West Central LCDA in cash and in kind. This was made known in a recent interview with the lawmaker.


The birthday ceremony which comes up on Saturday 13th February is an opportunity for the lawmaker to appreciate God and his constituents by giving back to the society. The ceremony is scheduled to kick-start with a visit of the lawmaker and his well-wishers to an orphanage home in the morning to donate important items needed for the care of the children. Later that day, his constituents and supporters shall then converge at African Church Grammar School playground to witness the donation of items needed for businesses or daily activities of people, donation of cash to boost trading activities of market women and donation of items to facilitate the learning process in government schools within the constituency.


The program, scheduled to celebrate his 50th birthday, is aimed at appreciating the lawmaker’s constituents through the donation of items needed for their businesses or daily activities, donation of cash to boost trading activities, and donation of items to facilitate the learning process in government schools within the constituency. 


Items to be donated to beneficiaries of the program include a Toyota Sienna Minivan, a MAZDA 626 saloon car, 16 new TVS motorcycles, 11 new deep freezers, 15 mechanical grinding machines, 1 industrial sewing machine, 150 motorcycle tyres, and 200 motorcycle tyre tubes. About 150 market women are also expected to receive a cash grant of Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000) each towards boosting their businesses. 


Students in the constituency are not left out as each government-owned school in Ilesa West Local Government and Ilesa West Central LCDA is to receive 10 packs of white chalks to contribute to the processes of teaching the students. Also, 12000 pieces of 60-leaves exercise books are to be distributed to students in the schools to aid their learning. 


According to Adedoyin, who equally serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Rural Affairs and Community Development, the appreciation program tagged “Ilerioluwa Support Program” is borne out of his strong desire and personal will to as a form of appreciation for their support over the years, impact the lives of people including the younger generation. He stated that “my interest is to appreciate my constituents by providing them with materials that are required for their day to day activities because I believe in the dignity in labour. A core part of the Omoluabi ethos is in being industrious and hardworking, and we must continue to encourage people who are ready to work hard to sustain themselves.”


Furthermore, he explained that the program is also inspired by the great achievements of the governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola since he assumed the office. “Governor Oyetola has demonstrated a firm commitment to the economic sustainability of Osun people through many of his programs and projects despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. I consider it very important to promote and support him in my own way”, he said. 


Prominent leaders in Ijesaland, chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as other dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion. The program is however planned to hold with grouping of the beneficiaries in line with current COVID-19 realities and prevention guidelines.
