The Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland Palace Building Committee under the leadership of the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Yinka Fasuyi has formally handed over the keys of the new palace to His Imperial Majesty Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II CFR, LLM.
The owa Obokun who was apparently in a joyous mood , thanked the ijesas for deeming it fit to build a befitting ultramodern palace for him.
In a chat with media correspondents at the occasion the Paramount Ruler appreciated the committee members for the facilities provided and their creativity in selection of intriguingly uncommon and state of the art royal furniture.
Speaking further, he highlighted the significance of the new palace project as a demonstration of a movement and a new trend that is characterized in the beginning of a new era that will produce unprecedented development in Ijesaland.
The facilities provided in the new palace include main reception lounge, royal lounge, secretary's office, Kabiyesi's office, Kabiyesi's room, Kabiyesi's dressing room, living room upstairs, four Olori's rooms, kitchens, laundry, library, maid's room, driver's room, security home among others.
In attendance were , the Sawe of Ilesa, Chief Akinwande Akinola, Mr. Faniyi, Rev. Prince Lowo Adebiyi, Chief Mrs Dupe Ajayi Gbadebo, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, Mr Wale Idowu, Mr Busayo Aluko and Alhaji Lateef Bakare.
