The purported self-installallation of Prince Omololu Afilaka as the Alatorin of Atorin-Ijesa, a community in Atakumosa East Local Government of Osun State has appeared to have stirred the hornets.
At a press conference in Ilesa on Sunday, the Risa of AtorÃn, High Chief Isaac Olanrewaju Ige descended on Hon. Sanya Omirin and his cohorts comprising of some third class obas such as the Lifofin of Ifofin, Ilesa, Onitemidayo of Temidayo and Olowu of Owu-Ajegunle, accusing them of slapping the Atakumosa East Chieftaincy Committee headed by HRM Oba S. A. Popoola, the Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa and destroying the unity of the once peaceful Atorin community by sponsoring thugs.

The High Chief's strongest point of disagreement seemed to have been the act of Hon. Sanya Omirin's solely taking over the responsibility of the Atorin-Ijesa community's kingmakers as he disclosed that it is the role of the the Risa of Atorin-Ijesa to present an Oba-elect to the Ogboni of Ipole-Ijesa, who is the Chairman of Atakumosa East Chieftaincy Committee and this cannot be undermined as without his knowledge a new King cannot ascend the throne.

Chief Ige also contended that, as the Risa of AtorÃn, who is the present interim ruler of the town after the passage into the spiritual realm of the late Alatorin of Atorin-Ijesa, late Oba Olufisayo Ogedengbe about two years ago, he must be in the know.
"There's no installation in Atorin-Ijesa. Who gave them the authorization? Chief Ige queried as he concluded that the Atakumosa East Local Government Chieftaincy Committee members have decided the choice of an Oba-elect before the action of the troublemakers. He concluded.
