Protesters from Iwo, OlaOluwa and Obokun local government areas of Osun State we're at the Osun House of Assembly to protest against the Osun Local Government caretaker committee nominees sent sent by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for screening by the legislators.
It would be recalled that the Assembly had on Friday read out names of nominees to run the affairs of Local governments, LCDAs and Area Councils in the state.

The Speaker State of Osun House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has appealed to the protesters to be calm and patient while the House of Assembly would look into the matter and came out with solution.
Rt. Hon. Owoeye made this known today while addressing the protesters. He assured them that the House will look into their petitions.
According to him, "The House of Assembly will look into all the petitions and come up with better submission".
"I want you all to calm down and be patient."
The protesters carrying various placards with inscriptions like "Enough is Enough, O to gee", "APC is nobody's property", "2022 is Shaking" "Iwo are not Slaves", "Obokun people want Justice", "Enough is Enough", "O to gee", etc.
The spokesperson from Iwo Mr. Nurein Musbau in his view said they want the House of Assembly to stepdown the whole lists of nominee's presented to them.
He said, "The harmonize lists prepared by the party leaders in their local government had been compromised and asked the House to revisit the harmonize list submitted by the party leaders".
It would recalled that the House of Assembly had read out names of nominees to run the affairs of Local Government (LG),Local Government Development Areas (LCDA) and Area Council (AC) in the State.
