The SUBEB Boss further  noted that ICT/Computer knowledge has become so important that it enhances workflow and overall experience of people especially teachers  within a given workplace.

To drive home his assertions, Hon . Famurewa recalled that last year when COVID 19 was at its peak which necessitated the closure of all schools, pupils and students had the opportunity of still enjoying their education at home with the mother of all opportunities provided by information and communication technologies .

"Notwithstanding the COVID 19 pandemic which made government of the State of Osun just like other states in Nigeria to impose a lockdown mechanism, our children were still able to keep the trend of their learning going unabated ." Famurewa told the participants to justify the essential of being computer and ICT literate.

Earlier in his welcome address , the Executive Secretary, Osun SUBEB, Mr Adeoye Bakare thanked Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC Abuja, for its unrelenting efforts at giving series of training workshops to teachers in order to enhance and refresh  their knowledge.

They concluded that it is very germane for teachers and other stakeholders in and outside education sector.

Sighting examples of  school children who were unable to receive online lessons at home during COVID-19 pandemic due to lack ICT and Computer knowledge by their teachers, the resource persons alluded to the fact that any teacher worth his/ her calling as a professional must see and regard Computer as part of the new world order.

They also urged the participants to show utmost interest in ICT knowledge .
