Another resource person at the retreat, who is also a veteran electoral Administrator,Dr. Muslim Omoleke, observed that any acceptable election, all over the world, is always a collective responsibility of all stake holders, pointing out that the forthcoming council elections in the State will not be an exception, even up to the aspect of voters' education.
Also speaking, Prof Isiaka Olalekan Aransi described the local government election as an important element of modern representative government, adding that it is linked to the growth and development of democratic political order.
Prof D. Adeyemo, who was represented by Dr.( Mrs) Aluko, also identified security challenge a major problem militating against the conduct of free, fair and credible election. The don then counseled the Commission to provide adequate security, not only for those who would be on election duty, but for the entire electorate, during and after the forthcoming local government elections.
