OSUN SUBEB CHAIRMAN TASKS HEAD TEACHERS ON QUALITY EDUCATION DELIVERY.

The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa has tasked  Head teachers of School across the State  to ensure quality education delivery in their various schools.

Hon Famurewa gave the charge in a speech delivered at a 6-day leadership  and management training for selected head teachers of schools within Osogbo, organized by Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Abuja in collaboration with Osun Universal Basic Education Board.

The workshop  is still going on, concurrently, in the three Senatorial Districts of Osun for Head teachers of  Public Primary Schools across the State.

While appreciating the collaborative efforts of UBEC in the significant task of quality education delivery, Hon.Famurewa asserted  that the successes recorded at  the basic eduction level would have been impossible without the cooperation and financial commitment of the Commission.

Hon. Famurewa said the present administration in the State of Osun, under the leadership of Governor Adegboya Oyetola, is passionate about education, urging the participants to also give  maximum support to the development of the State educational system by performing their duties effectively and efficiently.

The Chairman  implored the participants to pay rapt attention to the  training in order to squeeze the best out of it, assuring them that it will be value added to them in their chosen career.

In his further amplification of the importance of the  workshop, Famurewa said:" there is no better alternative to qualitative basic education, otherwise, our present and future is at stake. In this regard, you as the arrow heads, anchor and implementers of all policies and guages by which government's huge expenditure on education are measured with your pupils' performances and behaviours in the society, need to be well prepared, updated and more alive to your duties and responsibilities."

Earlier In his welcome address , the Executive Secretary, SUBEB,Osun,Mr Adeoye Bakare thanked  the national umbrella body of the Commission,UBEC for its support over the years at ensuring qualitative education delivery in schools

    

Mr Bakare also lauded  Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, describing him as a lover of education whose administration is  working assiduously towards overhauling the totality of education in the State. 

      

   

            

In their separate remarks, the Osun State Coordinator for UBEC, Alhaji Jimoh Kamaldeen and the  training workshop leader, Dr Tayo Zubair pinpointed that the training workshop was conceptualized to enhance the leadership capacity of the Head teachers.

The duo then enjoined the participants to keep their minds open and to actively participate in the training workshop by paying proper attention to the various topics enlisted for discussion which,according to them, have been packaged to deliver in line with the world best teaching technique practices in the 21st century.
