The Salvation Army Church Gives out Free Educational Materials to Pupils in Ilesa

The Salvation Army is an integral part of the Christian Church, although distinctive in government and practice, its objects are the advancement of the Christian religion ... of education, the relief of poverty, and other charitable objects beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.

It is therefore not surprising when at the celebration of Annual Children Harvest at the Isokun, Ilesa Salvation Army Church, they invited the Ilesa West Local Education Board members to witness their "Back to School"  project which is an initiative aimed at equipping some less privileged pupils of the Salvation Army Primary School, Isokun, Ilesa, with school materials. On Sunday 3rd of October, 2021, the church gave out school uniforms and exercise books.

Speaking at the occasion while assisting at the distribution of the materials to the pupils, Hon. Ademola Philip a.k.a. Padma, who is the Chairman of Ilesa West Local Education Board and also representing the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Chairman, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, expressed the appreciation of the State of Osun government at the good gesture of the church to the pupils.

  1. I think there is an error of dating (10th October 2021 when you are reporting the event on 4th October 2021.
However kudos to the Church of God for doing this great feat. All other churches of God should emulate this gesture.
