Addressing the crowd that thronged the Imo, Ilesa site of the project, the Bishop lamented the failure of government to meet the healthcare needs of the people. He charged  the church to prepare for the daunting challenges of running a hospital which from his experience is charity-driven.

Giving the vote of thanks, the Chairman of the Project Fund Raising, Mr. Wale IDOWU underscored the necessity of the hospital with the supply gap of medical services in Ijesaland which has led to untimely deaths and unmitigated sufferings. He therefore pleaded with the church laity to extend the mileage of support for the project so that it can be functional in due course.

Supporting the Lordship at the event were the church Parish Priest, Revd. Father Patrick Ajayi, Fr. Omodunbi, and other Priests.

Also in attendance were Professor and Mrs Stephen Olanrewaju, Prof. and Mrs L.K. Jeje, Mr Ogunniyi, Laity chairman, Mr. Olawuni among other faithful.
