Dance is Sport: Ijesa Sports Club flags off 2022 sporting activities with dancing competition






Prince Kayode Arimoro, the President of Ijesa Sports Club has reiterated that sporting activities should be the  focus of the club and that all members should endeavor to participate in one sport or the other as he declared every Wednesday specially for sporting activities. 




He made the remarks in his speech at the flag off of the sporting activities for the year 2022 with a dancing competition at the Oladejo Alani Fasuyi Memorial Court of the Club premises.

The competition which was directed by Dr. Wale Oyekanmi, the Chairman of Social Subcommittee is an initiative of Erelu Jumoke Olafadehan, the Director of Sports.







The competition tagged the "Night of Oldies featured the participation of members in the following categories;


Age 80+

After a high level of mentally intensive coordination and physical exertion by the competitors, the following members emerged the winners as follows;


Age 80+.... Pa E. A. Ayeni came first, Pa. G. A. Asomuyide was second.


Age 70+.... Hon Akin Awoniyi went with the first position, Chief  J.O. Olorununisomo was second and Alhaja Aminat Bepo clinched the third position.


Age 60+.... Chief Mrs Jumoke Adewole came first,  Prince Ademola Adeyoju was second and Dr Dipo Folorunso came third.


Age 50+...Prince Kayode Arimoro came in the first position, Otunba Jare Ayo Martins was second Erelu Jumoke Olafadehan came third.


Age 50 Miss Bukola Ajakaiye came first, Mr Bosun Ajayi was second while Mr Kenneth Opebiyi came third.
