Ijesa Sports Club Holds 17th Investiture Ceremony.... Honors 7 illustrious men

 

The investiture ceremony of Prince Kayode Adebusuyi Arimoro, as the 17th President of Ijesa Sports Club was a huge success.

With a well packaged program organized by the Investiture Subcommittee headed by Otunba Jare Ayo Martins and directed by Dr. Wale Oyekami, the Chairman of Social and Publicity subcommittee, held at the Dejo Fasuyi Court inside the Club House on Ijebujesa Road, Enu-Odi Ijoka, Ilesa, Osun State, on Saturday, March 19th 2022, the event attracted dignitaries from nearly all walks of life.

The investiture ceremony attracted the who-is-who in Ijesaland and different parts of the country, including the Elegboro of Ijebujesa Oba Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye II, the Oloja of Ibodi-Ijesha, Oba Omisade Agboluaje, High Chief Akinwande Akinola (Sawe of Ilesa), Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi, Chíef Olu Falomo (Loofosan of Ifosan, Ilesa), Leader Kunle Odeyem, Hon. Wale Adedoyin, the DPO, Ayeso Division, Ilesa, Mr. Martins Bamgboye, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, Mr. Tijan Usman with some of the guests receiving awards for commendable performances and service delivery in different sectors.

The Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II was represented by the Arojo of Irojo, Oba Olusegun Akeju and the Olumelu of Imelu, Chief Bode Owofade.

Those who received awards at the event include: Engr. Moses Adedokun Adewola, Mr. Ayo Olokun, Mr. Yemi Mayadenu, Mr. Bayo Ekiran, Engr. Segun Okebiorun, Mr. Tony Igbaroola and Mr. Femi Adefila.

Addressing participants at the event, the new President, Prince Kayode Adebusuyi Arimoro said that he intends to run an all inclusive administration where all the stakeholders will be involved in the affairs of the Club.

He said: "Equally, I pledge to embark on infrastructural development. We are happy to inform this noble gathering that within 54 days in office we have repaired the damaged potion as well as the flooring the entire car park,.... However, we need to urgently give our entrance gate a facelift to be in line with the status of the Club as one of the foremost Clubs in Ijesaland "

The event was chaired by Engr. Moses Adewola who was ably represented by Mr. Johnson Aderemi Jegede who described the new President as well-travelled and highly connected. "He is an astute and tested administrator." He said.

The 2022 to 2024 Executive members headed by Prince Kayode Busuyi Arimoro, as the President include Otunba Jare Ayo Martins as the  Vice President, Mr  Olajide Abiola as the Secetary, Otunba Abimbola Olaniyi (Treasurer), Hon. Aro Samuel Abiodun (Financial Secretary), Hon. Abimbola Aluko (Assistant Secetary), Erelu Jumoke Olafadehan (Director Of Sports), Mr Sunday Arogundade (Welfare Director), Prince Ademola Adeyoju  Ex Officio 1, Dr. J. Oladipo Folorunso as the Ex- Offico 2. and Chief Hon. Idowu Michael Korede, the Immediate Past President (IPP).
