Osun 2022: How Osun PDP Shot Himself in the Legs Before Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland...By Akinola Akinyele

Yesterday, ( April 29) offered the APC in Ijesaland a unique opportunity to demonstrate real political sagacity by spontaneously responding in the most dramatic, sensational and thrilling effects to ward off and cleanse the bad rubbish, I mean the irritating mess of the PDP's visit to the Palace of Owa Obokun Adimula.

Noted that every political party has the right to promote itself and campaign for supports from the electorates, taking into consideration too, that the palace is not restricted from receiving anyone or group that wishes to see the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Dr. Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II, LL.D, CFR. However, it's sounds a huge and insulting joke for PDP to think they can play on the intelligence of such an erudite scholar and giant king, Owa Obokun Adimula in the same manner they play on the collective intelligence of their gullible supporters and the always hungry and lazy muttonheads.

First, they picked on their well meditated slogan 'Hunger' as a weapon of sensitisation to hoodwink the masses. In their glaringly confused state of mind, they attempted to diminish and despise the significance of the newly upgraded College of Education, Ilesa into a University of ILESA. And, to worsen their plights, they dabbled into comparing the PDP'S era of gangsterism, reckless economic wastages and abysmal corruption with the present state of affairs in the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Yes, we all experience a general increase in prices and a fall in the purchasing value of Naira. This is not synonymous to hunger, and to say, a Good or an item is costly is not an economic argument as long as you have the purchasing power and value for your money. We are all living witnesses to the global economic challenges and incidences which have crippled every economy in the world.

“The world economy is simultaneously facing COVID-19, inflation, and policy uncertainty, with government spending and monetary policies in uncharted territory. Rising inequality and security challenges are particularly harmful for developing countries,” this is a World Bank report by its Group President David Malpass.

Those who are vast in Economy are aware of this global trends and the fact that this government has been taking the right steps to square up with the rest of the world, taking into consideration the fact that global economy is entering a pronounced slowdown amid fresh threats from COVID-19 variants and a rise in inflation, debt, and income inequality that could endanger the recovery in emerging and developing economies. So, Nigeria is not alone in the emergency situations that have seriously caused our economy to decelerate.

The Owa Obokun Adimula, being an authority in Economics is much aware of this global challenge, that's why he asked, " Se ounje le wa je ni ibi ni ?". Kabiyesi, also knows that the PDP busybodies are hypocritical with the way they're orchestrating and propagating the issue of poverty and hunger in the country and especially in Osun State. He's aware that these same PDP stalwarts are the most familiar faces at beer joints, wine bars, luxury restaurants and high profile Hotels within and outside Nigeria, where they spend lavishly like Hushpuppi. So, "oro o di l'enu iya ole" , -you can't come to equity with a dirty hand. If actually you want to fight for the masses, you too must be above boards, especially when we know that the PDP regime was the architect of most of the wrongs they are wailing about.

Of course, a person who doesn't know the importance of having the basic qualifications to enter into a University, cannot know or appreciate the essence of having a University Degree. Show me your candidate and I will tell who you're. It's obvious from his childhood that Demola Adeleke lacks the drives or passions for Education. All his life, even as a adult he was forced to acquire or forge the certificates in his hand. So, for such a man and his followers, we can excuse their ignorance over the decision of the government of Osun State to upgrade the College of Education, Ilesa into a University. But, coming to demonstrate such level of decadence and ignorance before the Kabiyesi, Owa Obokun Adimula, one of the best scholars in Royal Palaces is politically senseless if not stupid.

We have problems in Nigeria, yes, we know. We are not perfect in Osun State, yes, we won't deny that, but we are not going to go back to the era of gangsterism, recklessness and arrogant looting of treasuries. We are not going to opt again for what is just "good enough" when God has promised us "excellent", by his word... ILERIOLUWA ki ye. We are not going to watch in "Black and White" when we are still enjoying the movie as God intended it, in colors. We will rather stick to this government that offers us succulent tenderloin steaks than go back to the crumbs from your tables or your left over bones.

That's what differenciate the APC from the PDP, that's why we're are preferred by the greatest majority. We offer good roads, modern infrastructures, genuine social interventions, sustainable economic growth, secured future for the coming generations. We offered you those essential amenities in Education, Health and Social Welfare. And, we are seeing to be making all expected efforts to achieve the expected ends in the various Sectors of our Economy. Our achievements in the State are everywhere and can be verified. Thank God, even Kolapo Alimi is now plying the Olaiya Flyover which he said, "lacks integrity test". We are serving the people in the most passionate ways, hoping that the next four years will be better.

I give Kudos to all our vibrant Party Chairmen, our Council Chairmen, and more importantly the indefatigable members of the party for their rapid response. I commend the Member Representing us in the National Assembly, Hon. Lawrence Ayeni, our Speaking Speaker, Timothy Owoeye, the Director General of ILERIOLUWA LEEKAN SI, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, our own Works Commissioner, Remi Omowaiye, Bishop himself, Gboyega Oyewunmi, and all of us for taking the bull by horns.

This Election means a lot, and by all means we must Triumph come July 16. Yes, we must win landslide.

Akinyele Akintola, Ijamo Quarters, Ilesa
