Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Holds free Settlement Week

The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb), the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria founded in 1979 will be holding it's first ever settlement week between June 6 and 10, 2022 for those who are currently embroiled in some serious legal tussles with some persons or corporate citizens, and who earnestly yearn for speedy resolution of the matter?

In a statement made available to Kakaki Oodua Media Agency by the Registrar of the Institute, Mrs Shola Oshodi-John, the week has been set aside by the Institute to resolve disputes through arbitration, mediation and other ADR mechanisms at pro bono (free of charge) for Indigent citizens and at a highly subsidised fee for others.

Matters to be considered settlement week include:

· Tenancy matters,

· Property disputes,

· Debt recoveries,

· Employment and Trade Disputes;

· Construction Disputes;

· Breach of Contracts

. Family Disputes

Those qualified to attend and can apply include:

· Individuals

· Legal Practitioners

· Corporate Bodies

. Communities

· Law firms

· Government Parastatals

. Small and Medium Scale Organisation

. Start-up Organisation – (Fintech)

The programme which runs between 9a.m. and 3p.m. each day, will hold at NICArb Arbitration & amp; ADR Centre on number 10, Adedeji Adekola Close, Off Freedom Way, Ikate, Lekki.
