2022 Teachers Day: Without teachers, a nation cannot develop says Famurewa




 



Teachers play no mean role as bedrocks of development and Nation building and as such deserve accolades and encomioums from every stratum of the Society.

Engineer Ajibola Israel Famurewa stated this As Teachers across the country join their counterparts in celebrating this year's World Teachers' Day.


Engineer Famurewa in a statement he personally signed to felicitate with the teachers said there is no gainsaying the fact that without teachers, a nation cannot deve given their indisputable role as those who impact knowledge, through precepts,examples and experiences and guide learners through their studies, which are principally directed at getting them to think for themselves.


The Osun East APC Senatorial Candidate said teachers have been chosen as a social agent by the entire society to delegate knowledge to others according to their needs and capabilities.


The former Osun SUBEB Executive Chairman said The teacher’s challenges and responsibilities are many that it cannot be exhausted because the teacher is also a motivator, moderator,counsellor and above all a supervisor of learning. Little wonder, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has its slogan as “ If you can write your name, thank your teacher”.


Engineer Famurewa urged stakeholders in the education not to relent in according the teachers the necessary support and respect they deserve at all times, saying this will go a long way in encouraging the teachers.


He however felicitated with teachers across the country especially those in Osun East Senatorial District for witnessing this year's celebration of the day.
