The All Progressives Congress (APC)'s candidates for the federal and state legislatures have sought the support of the party leadership in the Ijesa North federal constituency of Osun State ahead of electioneering campaigns.
The event that held at Iwaraja in Oriade local government council area, attracted party stakeholders, men and women of unalloyed loyalty to the party.
Speaking at the Meet-the- Constituency, Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa, a two- term lawmaker in the House of Representatives who was unanimously adopted as the senatorial candidate for the constituency, noted with appreciation and requested the party leadership in the constituency to work assiduously for the victory of the party in the presidential, national and state legislative polls in the constituency.
Honourables Seun Odofin and Desmond Ojo, respectively the party's candidates for House of Representatives and State Assembly made passionate appeals to the party leaders in the constituency to work round the clock, untiringly and win quality votes for the party in the forthcoming national and state elections.
Famurewa lauded the collapse of The Osun Progressives (ToP) faction of the party, saying the larger the party, the merrier. He asked the now bigger Osun APC in the constituency to show corresponding electoral strength in the presidential, national and state assembly elections. He enjoined the party's stakeholders and others to do physical mobilization of the party members, supporters and general electorate for the elections.
The APC stakeholders at the consultation with the constituency lambasted the party people who worked secretly for the opposition party in the last July Governorship election in the state, and directed the moles to rework themselves away from the despicable act.
The event was not to be clicking of glasses as curses were openly rained without let on any tendencies to betray the party's electoral fortunes in the next election outings in the state. And the victorious candidates who are wont to alienate the constituents after elections were not speared of curses, with the Holy Writ's stance on betrayal, copiously quoted.
Famurewa, the immediate past Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB) had reportedly earlier met with the constituents in the Ijesa South federal constituency of the state.
