The State of Osun House of Assembly has passed Osun State Customary Court of Appeal Amendment Bill 2022 into law.
The bill was passed into law at the Wednesday plenary after a motion moved by the Chief Whip Hon. Babatunde Olatunji and seconded by Hon. Mulikat Abiola Jimoh.
The Speaker of the Parliament, Rt Hon. Timothy Owoeye in his remarks noted that the bill has a lots of benefits for the state judiciary.
He said that the Customary Court of Appeal bill would fast track court proceedings in customary courts.
On the issue of public officials and career civil servants that served under the last administration going home with their used vehicles, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, called upon the Secretary to State government Hon. Teslim Igbalaye and Chief of Staff to the governor Hon. Kazeem Akinleye for discussion.
According to him, "I want to call on secretary to state government Hon. Teslim Igbalaye and chief of staff to the governor Hon. Kazeem Akinleye to discuss the issue politically".
He confirmed that the State governor, deputy governor and other government functionaries are entitled to go away with some items.
