Adeleke visits Buhari...talks about the new electoral law

 

Governor Ademola Adeleke on Friday praised President Muhammadu Buhari for his wisdom and for assenting to the revised electoral law.

He lauded the president for signing the Electoral Act 2022 into law during his “thank you” visit to the state house in Abuja.

According to the Osun state governor, the new law paved the way for free and fair elections in the country and changed the global perspective on Nigeria.

Adeleke believed that the adoption of the new electoral law led to his election as Governor of Osun.

Interestingly, the position of the new electoral law vis-à-vis the 2022 Osun Governorship Election is one of the subjects of litigation at the ongoing Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
