Hon. Israel Ajibola FAMUREWA, the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Osun East (Ife/Ijesa Senatorial District) in the next month, February, 2023 general elections into the Senate, the Upper Chamber of National Assembly, NASS has rendered an account of development activities brought to the Ijesa South Federal Constituency (Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Ilesa East and Ilesa West local governments) while he represented the people at the lower chamber of the 7th and 8th National assembly and used the opportunity to seek their support for APC in the coming elections.
Speaking with our correspondent at his Ilesa residence on Tuesday, Hon. Ajibola FAMUREWA who is returned unopposed by APC in Osun East to carry the party flag for the Red Chamber, Senate in the next general elections, a couple of weeks ahead recounted his excellent achievements as member of the House of Representatives while using same as his greatest assets, a testimonial statement of his acquisitions of the National Assembly procedural politics.
"I was a member of the following House Committees in the Green Chamber: House Committee, Works, House Committee, Diaspora, House Committee, Air Force, House Committee, Internal Security, House Committee, Housing & Habitat, House Committee, Services & Welfare, among other numerous oversight functions." He boasted.
Recalling his tangible achievements, then as House of Representatives member mentioned but not limited to the following:
*. Installation of Over 40 Units of 500KVA Transformers.
*. Provisions of over 20 Boreholes.
*. Installations of more than 70 Units of Solar Powered Street Lights in Ilesa East and West.
*. Different Bills sponsored by him and at the different legislative stages included National Blood Service bill; National Institute for Forensic Science (Establishment) bill; National Lottery Act (Establishment) bill; Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (Amendment) bill; and Occupational Safety & Health Commission of Nigeria (Establishment) bill.
*. Motion sponsored by him on the boundary disputes between Osun and Ondo States, with directives issued by the House on the Boundary Commission to resolve the issue amicably between the two states.
*. Several motions co- sponsored on the Reversal of the fuel subsidy in January 2012; and on Revocation of the sale of Nigeria Machine Tool, NMT and Steel Rolling Mill, SRM, Osogbo, with the Bureau of Public Privatization pleaded to revoke the sale of the two companies
*. Construction of overhead interchange at Airport junction along Abuja- Lokoja road, with the construction started in earnest
*. Personal influence got the attention of the House to Ilesa- Osogbo and Ilesa- Akure roads.
*. Personal influence got the petition by BETGARD Group of Schools against NECO resolved by the House in favour of BETGARD.
*. Personal influence got the petition by the staff of OAUTH received adequate attention of the House.
*. Free Remedial Classes for SS2 and SS3 students.
*. Construction of Modern Blocks of Classrooms at Hope Grammar School, St. John's, Iloro.
*. Construction of bridges and drainages.
*. Renovation of several Blocks of Classrooms at Ilesa, Osu, Ifewara, etc.
*. Training and Empowerment Program for Youths in various vocational careers such as Fashion Designs, Computer Training, Hairdressing, Catering Services, and so on.
Indisputably, Famurewa a total party man, emphasized that he empowered many party members with such utility items as Refrigerators, Deep Freezers, Grinding Machines, Generators, Coolers, and Fans. _El ceteral_ . "I never renege on any of my promises as clearly demonstrated also in the provision of Motorcycles, Towing Vehicles, Motor Cars, Buses to various organizations such as Motorcycle Riders Association, Spare Parts Dealers at Ibala and Isida, Motor Park, Odo Iro, among others." He said.
Talking on his focus, if elected into the Senate in the next month general polls, he pointed out that it will further advance his legacy of sterling achievements even more than the listed above, to cover the entire Osun East Senatorial District.
"I will be a parliamentarian of high ranking, my experience and knowledge of legislative politics and processes will speak volumes. I will surely be of greatly invaluable asset to the people of Ile Ife and Ijesaland through resourceful engagements and interactions at all levels. Without discriminations." He corroborated.
Hear Famurewa: "My Federal Constituency will vote me into the Upper Chamber; they know that I will serve and bring developments to them. They equally know, I wasn't a bench warmer in the Lower Chamber, but a Representative who lived up to expectations."

A member of COREN, and Fellow, FNSE, Engr Ajibola FAMUREWA has his Masters in Engineering and currently undergoing his Ph.D program.
His journey into politics started precisely, in 1990, having participated actively in the student unionism during his days in the Polytechnic. And he's a foundation member of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Alliance for Democracy, AD, Action Congress, AC, Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, and All Progressives Congress, APC.
Famurewa picked interests in contesting elections into the legislature through Social Democratic Party, SDP, (1992), AD (2003), AC (2007), and ACN (2011). He was actually a candidate for the State House of Assembly (2003) and House of Representatives (2007). Undeterred by challenges and setbacks, he offered himself in 2011 to serve again and was elected into the House of Representatives on the platform of ACN to represent Atakumosa East, Atakumosa West, Ilesa East and Ilesa West Federal Constituency on the platform of ACN that metamorphosed to All Progressives Congress, APC. He served for two terms of 8 years, auspiciously for call to higher service.
Hon. Ajibola FAMUREWA was the Director - General of ILERIOLUWA Campaign Organization and successfully led the organization to landslide victory in the APC party primaries and in the 2018 Osun State governorship election that ushered in Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as Executive Governor of Osun State.
And consequently, Hon. Famurewe was appointed by the Governor as Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, where he served meritoriously, with exemplary achievements in Curriculum and Infrastructure Development. And he built outstandingly ideal academic standards in Osun schools.
