Addressing the riders, Hon. Taiwo Ogunmokun, former Secretary, Ilesa West Local government said the exercise was to cushion the effect of the current fuel scarcity being experienced across the nation.
“The poor current new Naira swap and the hike in fuel price has affected most of these people. Some of them can’t afford to fuel their okadas, and without fuel they will be out of business,” Hon. Ogunmokun said as he urged beneficiaries to vote for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at forthcoming general elections.
“This is the second phase of this excercise. Over 1000 riders benefitted from the first scheme that took place in Ilesa last week.
“Omowaiye is fully committed to making lives better for the people of Ilesa.
