Osun Tribunal : Adeleke Has Made Us Laughing Stock Over Forgery - Osun NURTW Boss

A Chieftain of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Mr Kazeem Olawale, has congratulated the former Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo saying the judgement has really vindicated that  Oyetola won the election.

He however called on the state Commissioner of Police to beef up  the state security in protecting the life and property of the people following the attack by the suspected political thugs.

Kazeem Olawale in a statement signed and make available to journalists in Osogbo said the judgment will further deepened democracy and bring sanity to electoral system and urged the transporters in the state to maintain law and order in the state.

He said the judgement has also put Osun on a negative light with the allegation of certificate forgery established against the governor saying the court pronouncement is a shame on the people of Osun.

Oyewale said despite being transporters, most of their members even struggled to have school leaving certificate and the governor has not convinced the court that he actually has Ordinary Level Certificate describing the senerio as embarrassing.

He expressed concern over reported violent attacks in the state capital and called on security agencies to address the situation saying until November 29, 2022 when the Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP), Osun was adjudged the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

He said ‘’ I congratulate  His Excellency, Governor Gboyega Oyetola on his recent victory at the Election Petition Tribunal and commend him for opting for legal action to seek redress over the July 16, 2022, Governorship election than resulting to violence’’.

‘’ The prevailing situation in the last two days in the state is however a serious concern when political thugs were moving round with guns  and attacking innocent people as a result of the tribunal judgement,  this is strange in the history of the state and it should be condemned by the all and sundry’’

‘’ It has equally shown the difference between the former and the new administration, in 2018 when Tribunal ruled against the Governor Adegboyega Oyetola,  it was peaceful, no thugs  was attacking any one, but  what we have been experiencing is violent attack by the PDP thugs. ‘’ Olawale said

He called on transporters to resist any form of provocation and harassment from PDP thugs urging them to remain peaceful ahead of the coming election.
