As residents of Kogi state are preparing to go out to elect their new governor on November 11, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced former Auditor General of the state, Ahmed Ododo as the winner of Kogi governorship primary election.
Ododo-a former Auditor General of Kogi State, who was reportedly endorsed by Governor, Yahaya Bello as his preferred successor, garnered 78,704 votes in the direct primary conducted by the ruling APC in all council wards of the State.
Reports indicated that Kogi State Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja and Chief of Staff to Governor, Mohammed Asuku alongside others aspirants set aside their ambition to allow smooth conduct of the party governorship primary.
