Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has accused a former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Tayo Alasodura and Senator Ajayi Boroffice of working for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election.
He said the achievements of his administration and conviction of the people were deciding factors in the victory recorded by the party in the presidential and other elections held in the state.
Senators Borrofice and Alasoadura had in a statement accused Governor Akeredolu of not supporting President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The duo, who distanced themselves from the position of Governor Akeredolu on the leadership zoning of the 10th National Assembly, said his statement rejecting the zoning formula was an unwarranted and a publicly documented outburst.
Akeredolu, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties and Strategy, Dr. Doyin Odebowale, described Borrofice and Alasoadura as bitter adversaries.
He said his choice and support for Tinubu were well documented and would not refrain him from challenging any act of injustice or impropriety from any quarter, adding: “My support for Asiwaju Tinubu is unwavering.”
The governor said he had been a strong party man, who had never failed to stand against partisans of injustice.
