WHY AREGBESOLA SHOULD BE FLUSHED OUT OF OSUN APC NOW__ DYNAMIC REFORMERS

Amidst the desperation of former Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, to forcefully hijack the leadership of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC, a socio-political group, Dynamic Reformers (DR), has told the leadership of the party in the state to urgently checkmate the excesses of the former governor who has been acting as if he is indispensable to the smooth-running of the party in the state.

The chairman of the DR, Mr Durojaiye Olaleke, a retired federal school teacher, in a statement issued in Osogbo, the Osun State capital today, observed that Aregbesola and his pack of hypocritical and despicable followers have no shame to be thinking of having the leadership of the APC in the state entrusted to the former state governor who sold out the party to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates during the last elections.

Olaleke stated that he doubted if Aregbesola has conscience as it is on record that he snubbed and abandoned those who laid down their lives during the protracted struggle to enable him become two-term governor of the state.

The DR chairman reminded Aregbesola that the former Minister of Interior has stepped on toes and he would only be fooling himself if he thinks that he can be entrusted with the leadership of the APC which he was instrumental to its serial defeats during the last series of elections in the state.

He stated further that Aregbesola has offended God and his human benefactor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who picked him from the gutter and made him what he is now flaunting as a political achievement in his journey of life.

Olaleke told Aregbesola that there is no way that he could have a headway in partisan politicking again until he begs for forgiveness from God, Tinubu and the innocent souls, dead or alive, who suffered untold hardship because of his governorship aspiration between 2007 and 2010 in Osun State.

The DR chairman wondered why Aregbesola should be thinking that the leadership of the party is his birthright when he is not the only former governor and former minister of the state origin.

He also stated that it is on record how Aregbesola personalized his ministerial appointment and refused to confer any benefit on the members of the party except the members of his dissolved inglorious and rebellious The Osun Progressives (TOP).

He tasked the leadership of the party in the state to live up to expectation by promptly addressing permanently the recurring problem of Aregbesola and his ilks by way of showing them the way out of the APC which they pungently worked against during the last elections.

"If Aregbesola knows that he is popular, why can't he go and form another political party or join a lesser party for the realization of his future ambition instead of playing the role of a malignant tumour in the party? the DR chairman asked.

According to Olaleke: "Aregbesola has forgotten that the river that forgets its source will dry up instantly. The former Interior Minister has definitely forgotten the source of his partisan politics and he is bound to meet with failure.

"No matter what he might name his new rebellious political tendency, it will soon go the way of the dissolved TOP", the DR chairman asserted.

It would be recalled that Aregbesola on Tuesday assembled his mutinous and rebellious supporters in Ilesa to launch his self-styled Osun APC Progressive Caucus after he had abandoned the party for four years.

It is on record that Aregbesola never voted in any of the recent past elections while information also has it that he directed the members of the now defunct TOP to vote for the PDP candidates.

Aregbesola also openly criticized, cursed and abused President Tinubu and former state Governor Gboyega Oyetola now minister of Marine and Blue Economy, at different fora in Ijebu-Jesa, Osogbo, Iwo and Ikire where he vowed to work against the re-election of Oyetola as the state governor.

It is also on record that Aregbesola never wanted Asiwaju Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the party but the then Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who failed woefully during the APC presidential primary election in Abuja.

Aregbesola has been hobnobbing with the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in Osun State while himself and Adeleke engaged in an open dance together, mocking Oyetola over the loss of Osun State by the APC to the PDP.

Quite a sizeable number of the Aregbesola kitchen cabinet members have been given  appointments by Governor Adeleke as rewards for working against Oyetola's re-election and other APC candidates in the last elections.

The embittered DR chairman asked rhetorically that: "Is it not funny that after Aregbesola and his cohorts had caused an edifice to be demolished, it is the same Aregbesola who is pleading that he would rebuild such house?

"It is only nincompoops and scallywags that can retain his trust in such a wicked man like Aregbesola who did not think that he toyed and endangered the political fortune  and careers  of all the members of the party.

"Apart from the fact that the motive of Aregbesola for inaugurating his leprous Progressive Caucus is self-serving and misplaced, it would have been better for him to sell his caucus idea to the PDP that he worked for during the elections

"Aregbesola should stop fooling the genuine and authentic members of the Progressives in Osun State", Olaleke cautioned him.
