His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Oluwafemi Olayinka, the newly installed Olú-Odò of Odo-Ijesa in Atakumosa East local government emerged from seclusion on Wednesday after completing a seven-day traditional rite in Odo-Ijesa.
Oba Femi Olayinka who came from the Ajifodu of Olú-Odò Ruling House was installed at a ceremony conducted by the Ogboni of Ipole-ijesa, HRM Oba Samson Kehinde Oyebade Oyeleye who doubled as Chairman of the Ijesa South Traditional Council and also Chairman of Atakumosa East Council of Obas on Thursday 21st September, 2023 after six years of the transition of Oba Z.O. Oni into the ancestral realm.
The new oba, seen dressed in white lace material, was at the Okemese ancient palace of the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland where he also performed certain traditional rites before returning to Odo-Ijesa.

At Odo-Ijesa, he was hosted to a well-attended civic reception where he addressed his people seated flanked by his brother, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka, former Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan as he appreciated the Almighty God, the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the Osun state government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the federal government, the Ogboni of Ipole-ijesa HRM Oba Samson Kehinde Oyebade Oyeleye, Odo-Ijesa chiefs and all sons and daughters.
