Court nullifies installation of Olayinka as Olu-Odo of Odo-Ijesa...High Chief Appeals to indigenes to remain law-abiding

An Ode-Omu high court has set aside the installation of Femi Olayinka as the Olu-Odo of Odo-Ijesa in Atakumosa East local government, Osun State.

Justice M. Okediya who delivered the judgment yesterday, held that the installation breached the court injunction earlier granted that the installation should be suspended until the legal tussle concerning the selection of Femi Olayinka brought before the court by Prince Hamed Odeyemi is decided.

Justice Okediya ordered the installation of Olu-Odo Olufemi Olayinka as wrongful, null, void and of no effect and that the newly installed king is restrained from further parading himself as Olu-Odo of Odo-Ijesa and that the Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Attorney general and the authority of Atakumosa East local government are equally restrained by the injunction.

Meanwhile, the Risa of Odo-Ijesa, High Chief Jacob Olu Ilori has appealed to all sons, daughters and youth of Odo-Ijesa to go about their daily affairs peaceful and law-abiding pending the time that the case in the court will be decided.

Olufemi Olayinka in a chat with  KAKAKIOODUA also assured that his legal team being led by Mr. T. Giwa will appeal the judgement.
