How Adeleke Removed UNIOSUN, OSCOTECH, Youth Budgets For Personal Luxury....... By Adebayo Adedeji

I read with disbelief the reaction of the Osun state government, signed by a political dreg, Kolapo Alimi, to the allegation, levelled by the opposition APC, that Governor Ademola Adeleke has reduced the state's financial support to the state-owned university, UNIOSUN, and that just N1.9billion of the N5.4billion subvention due to the institution in 2023 has been released.

My disbelief was fathered by the thought of how an adult, a supposed lawyer and an assumed stable mind would make himself an instrument of falsehood and launderer of all repulsive actions of a giddy government

Did Alimi, in his 9-paragraph rambling, quote figures of disbursements he believed his government had made to UNIOSUN in 2023...? No. Nothing of such was done. Was he hiding the obvious from the people? Of course, YES. But the good people of the state might not know the extent of havoc wrecked on Osun, by Governor Adeleke, until they have the details of the said supplementary budget "passed" in a coven by the sucker in the House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun.

Here are other items cancelled in the approved 2023 budget to allow Adeleke have fresh N10billion to fund his immoral and luxury lifestyle:

•Personnel cost:

Ministry of Youth and Sports N2, 096, 625, 510 ( 2bn)

• Osun State Teaching Service Commission - N70,000,000 ( N70m)

•Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke - N70,000,000 ( N70m)

Capital Expenditure:

• Ministry of Rural Development - N1,637,378,550 ( N1.6b)

•Ministry of Regional Integration and Special Duties - N1,224,674,000 ( N1.2b)

• Ministry of Education - N860,000,000 (N860m)

• Osun State Water Corporation - N651,400,000 (N651m)

• Osun State Secondary Education - N1,001,000,000 ( N1b)

• Ministry of Health - N797,210,830 ( N729m)

• Board for Technical and Vocational Education - N629,000,000 ( N629m)

• Osun State Waste Management Agency - N170,000,000 ( N170m).

The implication is that why Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government are denied fund to pay salaries and execute other meaningful programmes, Governor Adeleke will be junketing across the world, lavishing N10billion meant for the people.
