Osun NYCN Denounces Killing Of Miss Olorunfemi – Describes It As A Devastating Blow to the Youth Community

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun state chapter strongly condemns the tragic killing of Miss Greatness Olorunfemi, an Abuja resident and Osun indigene. She fell victim to a harrowing "one chance robbery" on September 26 along the Maitama-Kubwa expressway. Rushed to Maitama Hospital, she tragically passed away due to what was perceived as negligence in her treatment.

Greatness was reportedly pushed out of a moving vehicle believed to be involved in this criminal activity. She was rushed to Maitama Hospital but unfortunately passed away due to alleged negligence in her treatment, causing immense distress.

The National Youth Council Of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, held the Maitama Hospital management responsible for Greatness's loss and plans a peaceful protest. The Commissioner for Youth Affairs in Osun State and the chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, have taken steps to address the situation, meeting with the FCT Police Command and the IPO handling the case.

Honourable Commissioner Moshood Olagunju condemned the heinous "one chance robbery" and urged the FCT Minister and the IGP to prioritize citizen safety in Abuja.

Comrade Abdulmajeed expressed dismay over the incident in the federal capital city and urged the government to find a lasting solution to prevent such occurrences.

He also advised commuters, especially the youth, to be vigilant, recommending government-approved motor parks as safer options.

Signed: Comrade Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Oyeniyi, Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Osun State Chapter.
