The immediate past Executive Chairman of Obokun East LCDA in Osun State Hon. Chief Owoeye Samuel Abiodun (OSA) has described the passing of Owa Afole of Otan-Ile, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Sunday Adegbemi Olatokun (Fagberade 1), as “end of an era.”
Owoeye in a press release through his media office described the late Monarch as a father to all who during his lifetime was an embodiment of love and as he believed in peaceful coexistence of all, irrespective of class, status or where he or she originates from.
“Personally, the late Royal Father Oba Olatokun was like a biological father to me as he was always there to give useful advice when it was needed. He ruled his Otan-Ile kingdom with the fear of God and I know the people of that ancient historical city will miss him sore!” Owoeye professes.
As the burial rites are ongoing, Chief Owoeye prays that the revered king will have a smooth passage unto glory as he joins his forefathers. He empathized with Otan-Ile community on the loss of their king and prays that God will choose a befitting king who will continue the transformation of the town from where Oba Olatokun stopped.
