Families, friends, business and professional associates joined Engr. Dideolu Falobi, Managing Director, Kresta Laurel Limited, as he laid his mum, Deaconness Florence Aduke Falobi (Nee Ojo Omotayo) , popularly called Mama Dide, to rest in Iwoye-Ijesa, Oriade local government, Osun State.
The lying-in-state and Christian Wake Keep was held on Thursday 7th December, 2023 at her residence, Adeboye Str., off Ogbon-Okun, Iwoye-ljesa, Osun State. Friday 8th December. Funeral Service and Interment also followed at her residence on Friday.
The Thanksgiving Service at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Iwoye-ljesa District Headquarters, lwoye-Ijesa, Osun State and guests were later entertained at Iwoye-ljesa Grammar School, Esa Odo Road, Iwoye-ljesa, Osun State.
The events were attended by movers and shakers from and outside Osun State. Former Ogun State Governor and Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel took the front roll with Oba Timothy Akinola, the Oloke Aanu of Oke Aanu, Ilesa and High Chief Taiwo Fapohunda, the Bamura of Ilesa who represented the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland Oba Dr Adekunle Aromolaran at the Church Thanksgiving Service.
The Oniwoye of Iwoye-Ijesa, HRM Oba Adewumi Amos Ogidiolu Otokobo II led traditional rulers including HRM Oba Dr Ojarotade Adewale the AlaA of Ilaa-Ijesa, HRM Oba Olamileka Fayemi the Esemo of Iyemogun-Ijesa, HRM Oba Sunday Isola Ibironke, the Awaraja of Iwaraja-Ijesa, HRM Oba Adeyemi Adediran, the Owamiran of Esa-Oke and High Chief Omoniyi Ogunyemi, the Leejoka of Ilesa.

From the professional, business and academic life, the National Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, (NIMechE), Engr Mrs. Funmilade Akingbagbohun led her colleagues, Engr. Titi Omo-Etu, Engr. Titi Omo-Ettu, retired Telecommunications Consultant, University of Lagos Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Obanishola Sadiq, Old Students Association Methodist High School, Ilesa led by the National Executive body, the staff of the school led by the school principal, Mrs. Ogedengbe, members of the Ijesa Roots Club including Mr. Bosun Falore, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola and Mr. Lateef Bakare.
OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL CONGRATULATES THE FAMILY
Addressing the congregation at church thanksgiving service Otunba Gbenga Daniel remarked that it is not easy to bring the kind of crowd from far and near to Iwoye-Ijesa.
"I've seen people from Lagos, Abuja from all nooks and crannies of Nigeria gathered here today. This is unprecedented show of support and for this to be it shows that the children of Mama Aduke have given a good account of themselves in the community and in the society. This is the manifestation of the upbringing mama had given to Dideolu and his sibling." Otunba Daniel remarked
Prof. John Lekan Oyefara, husband to Engr. Dideolu's sister, Dr. Omoyemi Oyefara (nee Falobi), while thinking back on exceptional life of his caring and devoted mother-in-law, Deaconess Florence Aduke Falobi, described her as a shining example of goodness, love, and strength.
"We will always carry her loving and compassionate legacy in our hearts.
"Beyond her role as a mother-in-law, Grandma served as an inspiration and a living example of the transformative power of compassion. Everyone privileged enough to have known her was impacted by her kindness and steadfast dedication to improving the world.
"Mama was a beacon of hope, a constant source of support, and a pillar of strength." Prof. Oyefara said before the congregation at Thanksgiving Service

Late Deaconess FIorence Aduke Falobi, Mama Dide, Mama Yemi, was born on August 10. 1938 Her father, the Late Ojo Omotayo of lgbara-Odo in Ekiti State was a self-made man who had voluntarily left lgbara-Odo for Lagos to look for greener pastures.
Young Aduke started school at Baptist Primary School, Ifosan, llesa before proceeding to Apostolic Central School, Oke-Oye, llesa, where she passed out in 1957.
She later attended the Modern School at llesa for her post primary education before getting maried to the dashing fashionable Kehinde Falobi of the Falobi and Oshewa families of Iwoye-ljesa in the mid-60s.
Papa Kehinde and Mama Aduke Falobi's marriage was blessed with two children namely Dideolu and Omoyemi. In 1971, a new phase in Aduke's life began when she and her husband agreed for her to continue with her education as she deserved. Thus, at the age of 33 years, and having had two kids from her marriage, Mama went back to school, she passed out in 1974.
Mama's love for education and selt-improvement took her back to Divisional Teacher Training School, ljebu-Jesa from where she passed out in 1977. She thereafter continued with her teaching career which lasted till she retired in 2005.
Mama's Christian life was also exemplary. She played different roles in all the churches that she attended including chorister, witness, Sunday School Teacher, staunch member of the women's group. She was an ordained deaconess of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria.
Mama finally breathed her last on September 26, 2023, six weeks after celebrating her 85th birthday.
