Popular and well-endowed media guru and Ijesa patriot, Chief Adewale Idowu recently rolled out the drums in his Ilesa, Osun State residence in celebration of his birthday.
Some Ijesa traditional rulers, friends and associates came together to celebrate the birthday anniversary of the accomplished Ijesaman, Chief Wale on December 9th. The joyous occasion was marked with warm congratulatory messages, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and dedication to public service.
Quite expectedly, his close family members, friends and associates took turns to felicitate with him as this very social man opened his doors with enough to eat and dine by those in attendance.
It was clear that those who rejoiced with him on the occasion had done so in appreciation of his heart of gold and outstanding feats in life.
Adewale Mike Idowu, a man of many parts, is well-embedded in his native Ijesaland, Osun State as a consummate grassroots leader and mobilizer who loved his people most dearly and passionately.
At home, he is a dependable member of Ijesa Development Council IDC, Ijesa Mineral Resources Development Forum (IMRDF), Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee and a coordinator and representative of thousands of Ijesas outside Ijesaland under the banner of Ijesa People In Diaspora, IPID
Popularly called DeeGeee, a name he derived when he bowed out as the Director General of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC)
Wale Idowu, a member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), graduated from University of Jos in 1985 with a degree in Economics.
